CLASSICAL MOOOOOSIC AT THE PENISTONE AGRICULTURAL SHOW

The Penistone Show is one of the biggest highlights in the calendar of the residents of Penistone and the surrounding areas. It has showcased local produce and talent for many years, come rain or shine. Luckily, on Saturday, we had sunshine.

Having officially formed in the area (though one or two of our quartet actually live slightly further afield), we jumped at the opportunity to exhibit our own musical talents to the local businesses and the general punters. On the day we were one of a number of musical groups performing, including the local brass bands. As we were situated inside the members tent, we ensured that the corporate sponsors and members enjoying their lunch had some lovely musical entertainment, a little different from the bands ouside in the main arena.

As a quartet, we decided to break slightly from tradition and added wellington boots to our normal "concert dress" attire. We fitted in beautifully and only lacked a bit of tweed to make our outfits perfect!

We were very grateful to recieve lovely comments from those that listened to us, including Mayor - Cllnr Gillian Millner and her guests.

Many thanks to Sarah, who covered for Ruth and to Paul for helping out on the day.
